Don’t Blame God-Joshua 7:6-7
Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the LORD until the evening, he and the elders of Israel. And they put dust on their heads. And Joshua said, “Alas, O Lord GOD, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to give us into the hands of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would that we had been content to dwell beyond the Jordan!
(Joshua 7:6-7 ESV)
Joshua was Grief stricken at the defeat….confused….
It’s understandable…I would be too.
The only one he could turn to was God….he didn’t mope….
Joshua ripped his clothes and fell on his face to the ground before the Chest of GOD, he and the leaders throwing dirt on their heads, prostrate until evening. Joshua said, “Oh, oh, oh . . . Master, GOD. Why did you insist on bringing this people across the Jordan? To make us victims of the Amorites? To wipe us out? Why didn’t we just settle down on the east side of the Jordan?
(Joshua 7:6-7 MSG)
He did the right thing though he turned to God….but he also….
was a whiny butt and blamed God for his problems….
again…understandable but not an excuse.
When tough times hit I need to stay stable and remain steadfast and remember who is in control.
It’s okay to express our feelings to God…but we must do it within the context of recognizing His sovereignty on our lives.
I just have to avoid the Blame Game.

Wow… good observation – i gotta start applying that to my circumstances… not to question God’s providence, but stay firm in faith and trust Him despite my sarroundings in the world.
