An incredibly tasty life interruption
I just have to share with you about an incredible, unexpected life interruption that I had on Monday. I went for a walk with my younger son. I was planning on getting my haircut but no place was open…silly me it was Monday after all. I happened upon a little Mexican Restaurant that looked friendly and so I thought I might stop in…It is called “Bandidos Mexican Restaurant” on Broadway in Hannibal, MO.
It has been a long time since I have been out to eat and since I was in this cute little town I thought “It’s my birthday, why not?” So I went in. It is a simple little place but the food is absolutely amazing!!!!! It is authentic Mexican food and fantastically prepared!!! The only time I have had better was at Will’s family’s house…where they spoiled everyone rotten over Labor Day weekend with their cooking. But back to my story….
I had a dish that is called their Mazatlan. I was drooling when the aroma hit me from across the room. Oh my goodness!!! I am so glad that I allowed myself to have this lunch life interruption of my plans. The flavors blended perfectly! I will never forget it!!! And to top things off! They prepared a Mexican Fried Ice Cream that was out of this world and brought it to me as a gift for my birthday. A great part is that if you have children who aren’t into Mexican food they have some children’s menu items that are American traditional foods that they will love.
I had to tell you about this because sometimes I think we walk by some of the most incredible “life interruptions” with our busy lives. I met the sweetest people who worked there while we were enjoying our meal. So something that wasn’t at all in my plan for the day became of the highlights of my afternoon.
Just remember…life interruptions aren’t all bad…don’t get to wound up in your schedule to experience some of the un-planned joy that God has in store for you. I know that I am sooo happy that I was open to just that! Thanks again for a wonderful experience Bandidos!!! You do an incredible job!!
